Local Food Processing Training Equips Communities with Livelihood Skills

A 2023 PJD training at Artubonglong introduced local food processing as a practical livelihood pathway using available local resources.

Peace, Justice & Development documented a Skill Development Training on Local Food Processing held at Artubonglong on April 28-29, 2023.

Forty-three participants learned pickle making from mango, elephant apple, olive, Indian gooseberry and jujube, along with banana chips and juice preparation. The report notes that participants planned to explore local food processing as an alternate income source using available natural resources and as a potential collective livelihood model.
