Seminar on Peace Building Initiatives

KABC organized a two-day Seminar on Peace Building Initiatives from September 4–5, 2024, bringing together 33 participants for learning and reflection on the role of the Church in promoting peace and responding constructively to conflict. The seminar was facilitated by Subhasis Bastia and Samuel Theria. The sessions explored the Biblical mandate of the Church for peace building, challenges encountered in peace-building efforts, and practical approaches to promoting reconciliation and peaceful relationships. Participants were also introduced to skills and sustainability in peace building, conflict assessment tools and methods, and the importance of identifying dividers and connectors when responding to situations of conflict. The programme helped strengthen participants' understanding of peace building and equipped them with practical perspectives and tools that can be applied in churches and communities.
