Thadou Baptist Association-Assam was established on 28th January, 1980 at Songphel Baptist Church, Karbi Anglong, Assam, with the help and support of Thadou Baptist Association-India (TBA-I). It remained under Thadou Baptist Association-India until 2006, and after being detached from TBA-I in 2006, it remained a non-affiliated Association until its affiliation with KABC in 2020.
